Frostfern: First Photos

Isabel complains that the weather never seems to match the outfits she's modelling. Here we are in the midst of some glorious Indian summer weather--daytime temps in the low 20sC--and I have her posing in leggings, boots, and fingerless gloves.

This design is in the test knitting phase. My goal is to have it done before I head off to Rhinebeck, but goals frighten me and take the fun out of knitting, so no promises.

  1. Lovely pattern and model. Wondering what the sweater looks like without the pin. Do the fronts fold and form a modest collar or is the design meant to be pinned? Looking forward to the pattern release to study the schematic.

    1. Good comment. The cardigan follows the same template as Wheatsheaves, so the fronts fall straight down when not pinned. I rushed to get these photos on the weekend since Isabel's schedule is difficult and there was no guarantee that I'd get any at all before the pattern is ready to go. I'll take some pics of the sweater on its own (sans model) to add to the collection.

  3. Do you have a list we can sign up for to be notified when it's ready? I would love to knit this.

    1. I don't have an official list. Your best bet is to check back on this blog. I'd working hard on getting things ready to go.
