I used Ella Rae Classic in # 137, Natural Heather. I'm going to have to get a whole bag of this wool--just love the depth of the natural colours. If ever one needed proof that a simple pattern and a simple yarn can yield high calibre results, this is it.
Here the mitts are layered with gloves (pattern is "Strata").You can knit this pair of beauties in one day without even breaking a sweat. Just make sure you print off a copy of the errata before you start--the chart is backward, amongst some other little things. Need a hostess gift, or a stocking stuffer for Xmas? This pattern would be my go-to solution. Warning: you may have trouble letting them go.
